Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite: smoky, sweet, spicy, or sugar-free)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Optional spices: paprika, cayenne, or chili powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
- Season the drumsticks in a large bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and any optional spices.
- Coat the chicken by adding the drumsticks and tossing until each piece is evenly covered.
- Arrange the drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet with a little space between them.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the skin starts to brown and the fat renders.
- Sauce the drumsticks with BBQ sauce and return to the oven for 10-15 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
- Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
For best results, don’t crowd the pan and ensure drumsticks are dry for better browning.
