A simple and delicious baked tilapia recipe that’s perfect for any occasion, packed with flavor and protein.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs (750g) tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Ground black pepper (to taste)
- 3 dashes cayenne pepper (for a kick!)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
- Rinse the tilapia fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Lay the fillets in a single layer within a baking dish.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the fillets and sprinkle the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice.
- Evenly sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese on top of the seasoned fish.
- Bake in the oven for around 10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges for that extra zing!
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven before serving.
