Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickness)
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- If you desire a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water and stir it into the sauce.
- Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, replace soy sauce with tamari. Maple syrup can substitute honey for a vegan version.
