Description

A satisfying dish featuring perfectly cooked salmon drizzled with a homemade teriyaki sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickness)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  3. If you desire a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water and stir it into the sauce.
  4. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over them.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, replace soy sauce with tamari. Maple syrup can substitute honey for a vegan version.
