Baked Tacos are a delicious twist on a classic favorite, perfect for family dinners or gatherings. This dish combines seasoned meat, melted cheese, and crispy taco shells for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or chicken
- 1 taco seasoning packet
- 12 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 can refried beans (optional)
- Taco toppings (lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole, salsa)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef or chicken in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions.
- If desired, spread a layer of refried beans on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place taco shells in the dish and fill each with the seasoned meat mixture.
- Top generously with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm, garnished with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) or microwave.
