Description

Baked Tacos are a delicious twist on a classic favorite, perfect for family dinners or gatherings. This dish combines seasoned meat, melted cheese, and crispy taco shells for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken
  • 1 taco seasoning packet
  • 12 taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 can refried beans (optional)
  • Taco toppings (lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole, salsa)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef or chicken in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions.
  4. If desired, spread a layer of refried beans on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Place taco shells in the dish and fill each with the seasoned meat mixture.
  6. Top generously with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) or microwave.
