Description

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches (about 2 lbs) of fresh asparagus
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground, to taste)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and trim the asparagus, removing the tough ends.
  3. Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, and toss gently.
  4. Arrange the seasoned asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the spears.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the asparagus.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and turned golden.
