Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 lbs)
- 1 packet ranch seasoning (divided)
- 6 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 4 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 2-3 green onions (chopped)
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Sea salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create even pieces and pound them slightly for even cooking.
- Rub the chicken with sea salt, pepper, dried thyme, garlic powder, and half of the ranch seasoning mix.
- In a saucepan, melt the cream cheese, butter, and garlic. Add lemon zest, mustard, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and the rest of the ranch seasoning. Simmer for a couple of minutes and blend until smooth. Stir in the parsley.
- Spread the creamy sauce over the chicken and top with shredded cheddar. Bake for 30 minutes or until the chicken reaches 165°F.
- Top with crumbled bacon and green onions, and serve immediately.
Notes
Pound the chicken for even cooking; use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother sauce; check the internal temperature for safety.
