Description

Sticky, smoky-sweet chicken with crisp edges, made in the oven for a quick and easy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Onion powder, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a rack on top for better airflow.
  2. Make the sauce mixture by stirring together BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
  3. Prep the drumsticks by patting them dry with paper towels and placing them on the baking sheet.
  4. Oil and season the drumsticks by drizzling with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Sauce the chicken by brushing the BBQ sauce mixture all over the drumsticks, coating each one well.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.
  7. Check doneness with a thermometer; chicken should reach 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy.
