Description

A delightful appetizer combining creamy burrata cheese, rich avocados, and the crunch of toasted bread, garnished with fresh basil.

Ingredients

  • Baguette slices (about 1 small baguette)
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • Fresh basil leaves (a handful)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast them for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
  2. Mash the avocados in a bowl. Add lime juice, salt, and pepper, mixing until creamy but still slightly chunky.
  3. Spread a generous layer of the avocado mixture over each toasted baguette slice.
  4. Tear the burrata cheese into smaller pieces and place a piece on top of the avocado spread on each slice.
  5. Top with a sprinkle of chopped red onion and fresh basil leaves.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for the finishing touch just before serving.

Notes

Ensure avocados are ripe for best flavor. Store leftover avocado mixture in an airtight container and consume within 1-2 days.
