Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced (optional)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half. Remove the pit and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocado to your desired consistency.
- Stir in freshly squeezed lime juice and salt.
- Add the diced onion, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, jalapeño (if using), and minced garlic (if using) to the mashed avocado.
- Mix gently until everything is well combined.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning to your liking.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
Notes
Store leftover guacamole in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed against the surface to minimize browning. Best used within 1-2 days.
