Description
Crispy, juicy chicken drumsticks cooked in the air fryer for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 6 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (oregano or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
- Make the seasoning rub: In a large bowl, stir together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
- Coat the chicken: Add the drumsticks and toss until every piece is evenly covered.
- Arrange in the basket: Place drumsticks in a single layer with a little space between them.
- Air fry for 25–30 minutes, flipping at the halfway mark.
- Check doneness: Drumsticks are done when the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Rest and serve: Let the chicken rest 3–5 minutes before serving hot.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, consider adding 1/2 teaspoon baking powder to the dry spices.
