Description

Crispy, juicy chicken drumsticks cooked in the air fryer for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (oregano or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
  2. Make the seasoning rub: In a large bowl, stir together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
  3. Coat the chicken: Add the drumsticks and toss until every piece is evenly covered.
  4. Arrange in the basket: Place drumsticks in a single layer with a little space between them.
  5. Air fry for 25–30 minutes, flipping at the halfway mark.
  6. Check doneness: Drumsticks are done when the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Rest and serve: Let the chicken rest 3–5 minutes before serving hot.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, consider adding 1/2 teaspoon baking powder to the dry spices.
