A simple and delicious baked ranch chicken recipe made with chicken breasts, ranch dressing, mozzarella cheese, and crispy bacon for a comforting family meal.
Ingredients
- 4 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 6 tablespoons ranch dressing (divided: ¼ cup for topping chicken, 2 tablespoons for drizzling)
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced into 8 slices)
- 6 slices cooked bacon (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts into a large baking dish without crowding them.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing over each chicken breast, then top each breast with 2 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over each chicken breast, and return to the oven uncovered for another 10-15 minutes, until the chicken reaches 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with the remaining ranch dressing.
