Description

A simple and delicious baked ranch chicken recipe made with chicken breasts, ranch dressing, mozzarella cheese, and crispy bacon for a comforting family meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 tablespoons ranch dressing (divided: ¼ cup for topping chicken, 2 tablespoons for drizzling)
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced into 8 slices)
  • 6 slices cooked bacon (chopped)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts into a large baking dish without crowding them.
  4. Spread 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing over each chicken breast, then top each breast with 2 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese.
  5. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil, sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over each chicken breast, and return to the oven uncovered for another 10-15 minutes, until the chicken reaches 165°F.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with the remaining ranch dressing.
