Description
A Mediterranean-inspired twist on viral smash tacos, these turkey smash burger tacos bring juicy ground turkey, crispy tortillas, and tangy yogurt feta sauce together in a crave-worthy bite.
Ingredients
Main Tacos:
1 pound ground turkey (94% lean recommended)
6 fajita-sized flour tortillas
Kosher salt and pepper to taste
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried dill weed
1–2 tablespoons butter
⅓ cup crumbled feta (or more)
Pickled onions
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomatoes
Chopped roasted red peppers
Yogurt Feta Sauce:
½ cup plain Greek yogurt
Juice and zest of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
Kosher salt and pepper
Instructions
Heat a large nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat.
Divide ground turkey into six portions and press onto tortillas.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dill weed.
Melt butter in skillet and place tortilla turkey-side down.
Press turkey into skillet to smash and cook 5–6 minutes.
Flip, top with feta, and cook another 3–4 minutes.
Remove from heat and top with tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, and onions.
Drizzle with yogurt feta sauce, fold, and serve.
To make sauce, whisk all sauce ingredients until smooth. Chill before serving.
