Description

A classic meatloaf infused with garlic and Parmesan, offering a moist texture and savory flavor that transforms a simple meal into an aromatic feast.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg ground beef
  • 150 g Panko breadcrumbs
  • 240 ml whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 120 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1.5 tsp fine sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 120 ml ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Panko breadcrumbs and milk, and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, beaten eggs, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the breadcrumb mixture and combine gently.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and transfer it to a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar, then spread two-thirds of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature hits 70°C (160°F).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Slice and serve with reserved glaze on the side.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Ensure fresh ingredients are used for enhanced flavor.
